New York, New York, September 4, 2008: Cherry Lane Music Publishing Co. Inc., home to songwriters such as the Black Eyed Peas, Quincy Jones, and Keke Palmer, has partnered with Nimbit, Inc. to create online storefronts (widgets) for Cherry Lane clients and brand partners. Nimbit is a top-rated music commerce solution that allows clients to sell and distribute digital and physical music, merchandise and tickets directly to fans.

Fans will be able to purchase music directly from Cherry Lane’s brand partners including Sanrio, PBR, and NASCAR using online storefronts powered by Nimbit's platform. These storefront widgets can be customized to represent the brand, and can offer custom pricing and product bundles, allowing fans to buy music on any website without a 3rd party retailer.

Cherry Lane and Sanrio will soon release Hello World, the first-ever Hello Kitty CD. Hello Kitty fans will be able to digitally download songs from Hello World from the Hello Kitty website and the Cherry Lane website through a customized Hello Kitty storefront. The widgets will also allow Cherry Lane songwriters and unsigned artists to sell music directly on their site, offering the user more of a connection to the artist.

Richard Stumpf, SVP of Creative and Marketing at Cherry Lane, commented: "Cherry Lane has never been the type of publisher to just sit back and hope the other guys connected to our songs do a good job promoting and distributing the music. We've always rolled up our sleeves and taken the lead. Partnering with Nimbit to create a direct sales and distribution platform is a natural next step for us, as it provides added value for our brand and artist clients."

Patrick Faucher, CEO and founder of Nimbit, is excited by the move, adding "We are very pleased and honored to be working with Cherry Lane, whose history for serving artists is legendary. As the industry shifts more towards using the direct-to-fan model, we will continue to work with artists and the companies behind them, providing better solutions and more value to fans that are eager to support those artists and brands."
